The figure of the spy has been customary in film and literature. Types mysterious able to go anywhere unnoticed and extremely intelligent. Their mission: to collect information and send it. As a fictional character, are attractive, but it sure would not want to live forever with the suspicion that there is someone in your home, you can not see and is responsible to report on everything you do in your everyday life.
In the computer world this is what we call spyware (spyware), these are installed on our system in order to steal our data and spy our movements through the network. They then send that information to Internet advertising companies to market with our data. They work as ‘background’ so that we do not realize they are until they start to appear the first symptoms.

Every Internet user knows the word ‘spam’ and sees it in their inbox quite often. But not everyone knows that years ago the word ‘spam’ had nothing to do with either the Internet or emails.
‘Spam’ is an acronym derived from the words ‘spiced’ and ‘ham’.
In 1937, the Hormel Foods Corporation (USA) started selling minced sausage made from out-of-date meat. The Americans refused to buy this unappetizing product. To avoid financial losses the owner of the company, Mr. Hormel, launched a massive advertizing campaign which resulted in a contract to provide tinned meat products to the Army and Navy.

Phishing is a scam where internet fraudsters send spam or pop-up messages to lure personal and financial information from unsuspecting victims. Phishing involves sending e-mails that appear to come from reliable sources (eg banks), try to obtain confidential user data. To that end, typically include a link that, when clicked, leads to counterfeit websites. In this way, the user, believe to be in a very reliable site, enter the information requested, in fact, going into the hands of the fraudster.

Adware "Advertising-Supported Software" (Program Supported by Propaganda), in other words, these programs are created to show advertising.
What is the difference between adware and spyware?
The difference is that usually come packaged in Shareware programs and therefore to accept the legal terms for the installation of such programs, we are consenting to its implementation in our equipment and stating that we are aware of it. An example of this can be the banners that appear on different software and, in part, represents a form of payment for using these programs on a pseudo free.
